How do I increase the intensity of my Elev8 workout?
We always say, the Elev8 workout doesn’t get easier, you just get stronger! The integrity of your form and mastering the root exercise is key to progress in your practice. Often we find ourselves eager for quick and easy progression but patience is key in gaining stamina, endurance, strength, and weight loss. Once you’ve mastered the form and root exercises, you may be looking for extra variations in your exercises to challenge yourself a little further.
Below are some ways that you can increase the intensity of your workout.
Increase your range of motion and go deeper in your squats and lunges.
Go slower! Slowing your movements even further will increase the shaking and muscle stimulation.
Add or remove springs. Adding springs while exercising on the back of the machine will increase intensity. For exercises on the front of the machine on one yellow spring, you can go down to zero springs to increase intensity.
Be sure to keep an ear out during class, as your instructor will offer both variations and modifications, allowing you to always be the boss of your workout!
